Description

Here we have a beautiful little Ciné-Kodak 16mm Magazine Camera. In 2010, Kodak announced discontinuance of Kodachrome (color film) processing. I had a bunch of 50' magazines (the film this camera uses) sitting around and I had no working camera. So I bought this camera, sent it off to Gass Camera of Kansas for servicing, and used up my film. The camera worked fine, and it's still working fine - I just tested it with the film magazine shown in one of the pictures. FILM IS NOT INCLUDED. The glass is nice and clear and the camera runs smoothly. It's important that you move the door latch slider all the way to "run" or the camera won't work. I didn't remember that and it took me awhile to figure that out this evening. These cameras don't have great governors. When you wind them all the way up, they start out a little fast, maintain a stable speed for awhile, then they slow down at the end. The trick is to not wind the spring too tight and to terminate shot before camera starts getting slow. It's not too hard, it just requires a little patience and discipline. Film is available from toeppenfilm and other sources. It's kind of expensive these days. First, the film is manufactured by Kodak. Then it has to go to Germany for perforating, and Colorado for loading into magazines. The costs all add up. Film can be processed by Spectra Film and Video, Dwayne's Photo, and others - depeding on the film type. This item is totally, 100% non-returnable and non-refundable. I don't want you to buy it to see if you like it. Buy it only if you know what you're doing and this is exactly what you need. I cannot control what you do with it after you get it, and I do not want it back with a scratched lens, missing accessories, etc. Thanks for looking.
